A Welcome from Your Chairperson ![]() This year we will celebrate our 10th year for Symphony of Trees. We began with one event, Tapestry of Tables, held in the Trinity Center of St. Paul Lutheran Church, in 2001. The event was successful, so plans immediately commenced for the full Symphony of Trees, to be held at the Bert G. Taylor Legion Post in Napoleon, in November 2002. In 2007, the Symphony moved from the Bert G. Taylor Legion Post, to the AMVETS Post 1313, in Napoleon. Each year, the Symphony has grown with more donors and sponsors, more activities and more beautiful trees and other decorative items. Last year we were able to donate $15,000.00 to each of the three benefiting charities, the My wish for the 2010 Symphony of Trees is to provide you with fond memories of time spent with family and friends while sharing our holiday events. Symphony of Trees would not be possible without you, the donors as well as the hundreds of volunteers who work so diligently throughout the year in hopes of bringing to the community pride and a sense of accomplishment in providing financial support for the children of Thank you again ... and please take time to sit back, relax and enjoy "Songs of the Season." Yours very truly, Connie Maassel, 2010 Symphony Chair *********************************************************************************************** Symphony Fun Extends into Summer The excitement of the Symphony of Trees is not limited to November. Supporters of the Symphony were recently treated to a wine tasting party at the home of Grand Rapids restauranture Dave LaRoe. The evening had been offered by LaRoe as an auction item during the 2009 Symphony and was redeemed by the collective bidders during prime patio season. Among those enjoying the evening were (L-R) Lois Hanna, host Dave LaRoe, Pat Kryder, Connie Maassel and Cheryl Robbins. ![]() |
