A Welcome from Your Chairperson

This year we will celebrate our 11th year for Symphony of Trees.  We began with onConnie Maasselevent, Tapestry of Tables, held in the Trinity Center of St. Paul Lutheran Church in 2001.  The event was successful so plans immediately commenced for the full Symphony of Trees, to be held at the Bert G. Taylor Legion Post in Napoleon in November 2002.  In 2007, the Symphony moved from the Bert G. Taylor Legion Post to the AMVETS Post 1313 in Napoleon.  Each year, the Symphony has grown with more donors and sponsors, more activities, and more beautiful trees and decorative items.  Last year we were able to donate almost $18,000 to each of the three benefiting charities, the Henry County Hospital, the Henry County Court Appointed Special Advocate (“CASA”)/Guardian ad Litem (“GAL”) Program, and the Center for Child and Family Advocacy, benefiting the children of Northwest Ohio.  This was only made possible by the generous contributions made by you, the sponsor, donor, and participant.

There is a special magic that occurs each year with our first snowfall.  This magical moment is what inspired me in choosing the theme for this year’s Symphony, “Let it Snow.”  My wish for all of you is to enjoy the magic of the season along with peace and tranquility, which comes with each new snowfall.  Symphony of Trees would not be possible without you, the donors, as well as the hundreds of volunteers who donate their time and talent throughout the year. Without your dedication and support, Symphony of Trees would not be the successful event that it has become. Because of its success, we continue to provide financial support for the children of Henry County and the surrounding area through our three charitable agencies.

Thank you again…and please come and enjoy the magic of “Let it Snow.”

Yours truly,
Christy Burgei
